The clutch in my car disintegrated on Wednesday, I had to limp it home (almost did not make it). I've purchased myself a new clutch assembly and was hoping to install it today but the rain is just a little bit too heavy to put up with - I'm hoping the rain will clear and allow me to do the job tomorrow.I've been using the buses in Stoke on Trent to get around, doing my ward work. The first observation is how expensive it is to travel by public transport these days, I spent £10 on Thursday and the same today. The assumption that it is cheaper to travel by public transport, as opposed to owning your own car, has to be challenged. Also, I have to say that journeys that were taking me 15 minutes to complete have taken me 45 minutes on the bus.
It sufficient to say - I'm missing my car!
