RIP John ClarksonJohn Clarkson (45 years) was attacked by a large group of people in Snow Hill, Stoke on Trent on March 3rd. It is understood from reports in the media that the gang had twenty members!
Mr Clarkson died on March the 14th of what the police describe as 'blunt head injuries'.
John Clarkson was also know as 'Elvis' because of his habit of singing Presley songs when he was drunk, John was a well loved local character because of his pleasant demeanour.
Suspicions are now rising over the police investigation into this attack as for some inexplicable reason the inquest has been postponed three times. Also, in a straight forward street attack like this (that results in a death) it is most usual for the main suspects to be remanded, the fact that all suspects have been released on police bail leads me to suspect that a potential miscarriage of justice may occur in this case.
I have contacted the local coroners office and asked to be informed as to the date of the inquest - I will be attending and gathering information. I will report back to you after the inquest.
You need to do a full re-run of the Keith Brown case now that the far lefts hysteria is aimed elsewhere.

It seems racist attacks only apply to white on black and not vice-versa. These attacks are becoming more and more common in Stoke and the police seem to do very little.

ReplyDeleteOn second thoughts: This incident occurred in the now sadly inappropriately named 'Snow Hill' area of what (was once) a pleasant and safe area of our city to visit.
I have been challenged and threatened there for simply minding my own business, walking home from an evening course at the College - perhaps I should have assured the group that surrounded me outside the fast food shop that I was a true Nulabour voter and thus fully supported their stated aim of returning the country back to the middle ages.
The Sentinel? Silly me to ever have thought such a thing!
